You are five minutes away from hands-free dictation. Follow these steps and you will be talking to your computer instead of typing.
Download the SimplyTalk installer from the link in your purchase confirmation email, or from the Updates page. The file is approximately 500 MB and includes all bundled AI models.
Double-click the installer and follow the on-screen prompts. SimplyTalk will install to your Applications folder and create a desktop shortcut. The installation takes about one minute.
Open SimplyTalk from the desktop shortcut or Start menu. On first launch, the AI models will initialize. This takes 15 to 30 seconds depending on your hardware. Subsequent launches are faster.
When prompted, paste your license key from the purchase confirmation email. SimplyTalk will verify the key with a single network request. After activation, no internet connection is ever required again.
Open any application where you type: email, Word, Slack, your browser, a notes app. Click into a text field, then press the hotkey to start dictating. Speak naturally and SimplyTalk will transcribe your words in real time.
Hold the hotkey while speaking. Release it when you are done. Your transcribed text will be injected directly into the active text field.
Click the SimplyTalk icon in your system tray to open the main window. From here you can view your usage analytics, switch between AI engines (Parakeet or Moonshine), adjust settings, and monitor your session history.
